CLEVELAND (AP) — Demonte Flannigan scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds and Cleveland State snapped a four-game losing streak with a 73-62 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.

Rob Edwards added 19 points and five assists for the Vikings (2-5), who scored 22 points off 15 turnovers, with the Vikings making seven steals. Cleveland State made 19 of 30 free throws with Bethune-Cookman getting to the line for only 14 free throws, making just seven.

Quinton Forrest scored a career-high 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting and collected 10 rebounds with Brandon Tabb adding five 3-pointers in scoring 18 points with eight rebounds for the Wildcats (2-6).

The Vikings took the lead in the opening three minutes and used an 8-2 run over the final three minutes of the half to go up 38-24. The Wildcats were never able to get their deficit below double figures in the second half.
