TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Connecticut junior guard Courtney Ekmark is transferring to Arizona State.

Ekmark will have two years of eligibility left after sitting out the upcoming season under transfer rules.

The 6-foot Ekmark was one of the most highly recruited players out of Arizona after leading St. Mary's High School in Phoenix to three state titles. She won a pair of national championships with UConn, appearing in 61 games over two seasons, though she had a hard time getting consistent playing time on the Huskies' deep roster.

Ekmark joins an Arizona State team that won 26 games and finished 11th in the final Associated Press poll last season.
