LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Alexis Peterson scored 25 points with eight assist and five steals and the No. 23 Syracuse women pulled away from Fordham 76-54 Saturday night at the Thanksgiving Shootout.

Brittney Sykes scored 18, Brianna Butler 10, and the Orange (4-1) made 10 of 21 from beyond the 3-point arc and 12 of 15 free throws.

Hannah Missry hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Fordham tied it at 38 and 40 in the third quarter on layups by G'mrice Davis, but Syracuse pulled away on a 3 and two layups by Sykes, then opened the fourth quarter with a 16-0 run capped by Cornelia Fondren's layup.

The Orange outscored the Rams 29-12 in the fourth period.

Peterson was 6-of-8 shooting and 8 of 12 on free throws.

Missry, Davis and Lauren Holden each scored 12 for Fordham (2-3), which was hurt by 31 turnovers.
