CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Kahlil Felder scored 20 points and matched a season-high with 12 assists and Oakland cruised to an 84-51 victory over Alcorn State in the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic on Friday.
Felder was 8 of 11 from the field, and has 1,009 career points. He has a double-double in each game this season.
Percy Gibson had 14 points, and Sherron Dorsey-Walker added nine points with a career-high 16 rebounds for Oakland (2-2). Jalen Hayes, Max Hooper, and Brad Brechting chipped in 12 apiece.
Marquis Vance scored 13 points and Tamarcio Wilson 12 to lead Alcorn State (0-4). Deandre Davis had eight points with 11 rebounds.
Felder made a 3-pointer and the Grizzlies jumped out to an 18-4 run and built a 38-28 halftime lead. Felder scored 14 points in the first half.
The Grizzlies stretched their lead to 20 points midway through the second half and cruised from there.
