Kareem South had 19 points and Paris Austin added 12 as the Golden Bears emphatically ended a five-game losing streak against the Buffaloes and gave first-year coach Mark Fox his most significant win of the season while handing Colorado a stinging setback. McKinley Wright IV scored 18 points and Tyler Bey had 13 for Colorado.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jaime Jaquez's 3-pointer with .6 seconds remaining gave UCLA a 75-72 victory over Arizona State and put the Bruins in a share of the Pac-12 Conference lead. Jaquez was one of five UCLA players in double figures with 13 points. The Bruins, who were 8-9 and 1-3 in the conference at one point, have won six straight and eight of their last nine to share the conference lead with Oregon at 11-5. Jake Kyman tied a career high 21 points, with 19 coming in the first half, and Jalen Hill added 13 for the Bruins. Remy Martin lead Arizona State with 30 points.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Onyeka Onkongwu scored 11 points, including a three-quarters court shot, and grabbed 10 rebounds as Southern California gave its NCAA Tournament hopes a boost with a 57-48 victory over Arizona. Trailing 21-20, Elijah Weaver hit a jumper and a 3-pointer and Okongwu finished the 8-0 run with his long shot as the half ended for a 26-21 lead. The Trojans didn’t give up the lead after that as the Wildcats suffered through a miserable offensive performance. Jonah Matthews added 14 points for USC. UNDATED (AP) — Newly hired Colorado football coach Karl Dorrell will keep four assistants from the previous staff. Among those sticking around are Darrin Chiaverini. He served as the interim coach after Mel Tucker left for Michigan State and before Dorrell was brought on board. The other coaches who were retained include Darian Hagan, Brian Michalowski and Tyson Summers. Their roles have yet to be determined. Colorado athletic director Rick George is proposing a salary pool of $3.8 million for assistant coaches. That is up from nearly $3.2 million for Tucker's staff.

UNDATED (AP) — Arizona and UCLA top the marquee in Pac-12 men's basketball this week.
