BOSTON (AP) — Boston College junior quarterback Anthony Brown will miss the rest of the season with a leg injury. Coach Steve Addazio says Brown will have surgery within the next few days. The injury is not expected to be career-ending. Brown was injured in the second quarter of the Eagles' 41-39 loss to Louisville on Oct. 5. He was replaced by Dennis Grosel, who is expected to continue as the starter. Brown also suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2017.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott believes the defending national champions are back on track after a blowout win over Florida State. Others are still on the fence as the Tigers slid a spot to No. 3, the second straight victory where the formerly top-ranked team dropped a place in the rankings. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney is not worried about where his team is at the moment, just preparing each week to win games and be in contention at the end.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Virginia All-American cornerback Bryce Hall will miss the rest of the season following left ankle surgery. Hall was injured while covering a punt in the second quarter of the Cavaliers' 17-9 loss at Miami. The senior has had surgery. Coach Bronco Mendenhall says the recovery timeline is uncertain. De'Vante Cross will start in Hall's absence.
