TORONTO (AP) — The top team in the NBA during the regular season faces elimination tonight when Milwaukee visits Toronto for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. The Bucks won the first two games but dropped the next three _ something they hadn’t done all season. A win tonight would send the Raptors to the NBA Finals for the first time in team history.
PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Hyun-Jin Ryu (hee-YUHN'-jihn YOO) looks for his fifth straight win tonight when the Dodgers continue their series at Pittsburgh. The 32-year-old left-hander has allowed just four walks in 59 1/3 innings this season. Joe Musgrove takes the mound for the Pirates. He is winless in two career starts against the Dodgers.
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ Seattle Mariners pitcher Yusei Kikuchi faces Oakland tonight for the third time in a third different stadium this season. The left-hander previously pitched against the A's in Tokyo and Seattle, taking a no-decision each time. Tonight the Mariners are in Oakland. Right-hander Mike Fiers (FY’-urz) pitches for the A’s. Seattle third baseman Kyle Seager is set to come off the 60-day disabled list and is expected to start tonight.
HOUSTON (AP) _ David Price starts for Boston tonight when the Red Sox continue their series in Houston. The left-hander has a 2.17 ERA with 33 strikeouts in his last five starts. Right-hander Brad Peacock is scheduled to start for the Astros after striking out nine in five scoreless innings against the White Sox in his last start for his third straight win.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Bad weather at tomorrow’s Indianapolis 500 could mean a lot of anxious waiting for IndyCar drivers, track officials, broadcast partner NBC and about 250,000 fans. The forecast calls for an 80 to 90 percent chance of rain, with thunderstorms expected throughout the day. If storms hit, the race could be delayed, shortened or postponed until Monday. It’s only been pushed back from Sunday three times in 102 races. The last time was 1997, when it started Monday and finished on Tuesday.
