STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead wants his offense to be fairly balanced at some point in the future. But right now, these 22nd-ranked Bulldogs are much better at running the ball. Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald ran for 195 yards in the team's win over Auburn on Oct. 6 and more of the same is expected when the Bulldogs travel to face No. 5 LSU on Saturday.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn's hopes for a repeat SEC West championship have vanished along with its national ranking. Now, the Tigers are just hoping to keep the wheels from falling off a once-promising season. They've gone from No. 8 in the Top 25 to being unranked.

UNDATED (AP) — Tua Tagovailoa and four of his Alabama teammates highlight The Associated Press midseason All-America first team. Tagovailoa, the prolific quarterback of the top-ranked Crimson Tide, has 21 touchdown passes and no interceptions without having to attempt a pass in the fourth quarter because Alabama has been so thoroughly dominant.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings has bounced back from a tumultuous year and is starting to regain the form he showed two years ago. Jennings returned to the team this spring after he got dismissed last November. Jennings had the go-ahead touchdown catch last week in an upset of Auburn. Tennessee will need a big game from Jennings on Saturday to have any chance of competing against No. 1 Alabama (7-0, 4-0).

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Mississippi State is the favorite to repeat as Southeastern Conference women's basketball champions this season. The Bulldogs made it to the national championship game last season.
