WASHINGTON (AP) — An analysis by The Associated Press shows President Donald Trump has accomplished just 10 of the 38 specific promises made in his 100-day "contract" with voters. The accomplishments came mostly through executive orders, such as withdrawing the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. Of 10 promises that require Congress to act, none has been achieved and most have not been introduced. Still, Trump says he's "done more than any other president in the first 100 days."

PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) — South Korea says a U.S. nuclear-powered submarine has docked in the southern port of Busan, but it isn't expected to participate in joint naval exercises with South Korea. An official from South Korea's navy said Tuesday the USS Michigan is making a routine stop to rest its crews and reload supplies.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas has put to death inmate Marcel Williams, marking the first double execution in the United States since 2000. Williams was pronounced dead at 10:33 p.m. Monday, 17 minutes after the procedure began at the Cummins Unit in southeast Arkansas. Inmate Jack Jones was executed earlier in the evening.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump appears to be stepping back from demanding a down payment for his border wall, which could remove a major obstacle to a bipartisan deal on must-pass spending legislation just days ahead of a government shutdown deadline. Trump has told a gathering of around 20 conservative media reporters that he would be willing to return to the funding issue in September.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. State Department has removed its promotional posting about President Donald Trump's Florida resort, after a storm of ethics criticism. Mar-a-Lago was described in an April 4 blog post as "Trump's Florida estate" and the "winter White House." Left unsaid: Mar-a-Lago is part of Trump's business empire. After his election, the resort doubled its membership fee to $200,000.
