BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A man was arrested in downtown Boise after police say he stabbed another person in the head.

KTVB-TV reports the stabbing was reported at 5:53 a.m. Monday on 13th Street.

Officers took 43-year-old Raymond Edward Ranson of Boise into custody.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Police say the stab wound is not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have not said whether Ranson and the victim knew each other, or what prompted the alleged attack.

Ranson was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated battery. He is due to appear in court Tuesday.
