RIVERTON, Utah (AP) — Police say two women have been arrested on suspicion of obstructing justice in connection with a Saturday shooting in Riverton.
Police in Salt Lake City on Tuesday arrested 50-year-old Tasha Llewelyn and 24-year-old Misty Llewelyn. The arrests of the Riverton residents came after short lockdowns of nearby schools.
Police say suspect Justin Gary Llewelyn remains at large. Police have accused him of shooting a man, stealing his car and exchanging gunfire with officers.
Police say the victim's injuries are not life-threatening. The officers were not injured.
Sgt. Brandon Shearer declined to elaborate on the relationships between the women and the suspect.
Tasha Llewelyn is now out on bond. Misty Llewelyn remains at the Salt Lake County jail. Records do not list attorneys who could comment on behalf of the women.
