BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 48-year-old Nampa man who killed two men and chopped up their bodies has been sentenced to life in prison.
Michael S. Dauber received the sentence Friday in 4th District Court after previously pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree murder. Dauber must serve 17 years before becoming eligible for parole.
Authorities say that Dauber killed 25-year-old Joshua Reddington of Salmon in 2000 and 42-year-old Steven Kalogerakos in 2007.
Dauber was arrested in October 2014 following the discovery of a bone fragment that DNA testing showed matched Reddington's biological mother.
Reddington worked with Dauber at a Montana helicopter logging company and went missing in 2000.
Kalogerakos was a friend of Dauber from Chicago and went missing in 2007. His dismembered body was found in late 2013 outside Idaho City.
