FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Hundreds of people packed a suburban Detroit church Friday for the funeral of four young siblings who authorities say were slain by a man their mother was divorcing.

Chadney Allen, 19, and Kara Allen, 17, were fatally shot Sept. 21 in their Dearborn Heights home. Koi Green, 5, and Kaleigh Green, 4, died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Their mother, Faith Green, survived a gunshot and slashing across her face in the attack.

Gregory Green, who was Chadney and Kara's stepfather, and the biological father to Koi and Kaleigh, is charged with first-degree murder, torture, assault and other crimes in the deaths. The 49-year-old is jailed without bond. Police said he called 911 after the killings.

A pastor read a letter from Faith Green at the funeral at Detroit First Church of the Nazarene in Farmington Hills. Part of her letter said, "My dear babies ... I love you all."

Faith Green had recently filed for divorce from Gregory Green, citing in the filing a "breakdown in the marriage relationship." She also filed for divorce in 2013, but the case was dismissed for lack of action. A judge rejected a personal protection order that same year.

Green had earlier served 16 years in prison for the 1991 killing of his first wife, who was pregnant. Gregory Green and Faith Green married in 2010, two years after he left prison on his fifth request for parole.
