NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified the body of a man found inside a burning car in the parking lot of a Nampa apartment complex.

Police say 29-year-old Videll Hanks was found inside the charred vehicle on Sunday. Officials are still awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine how the Nampa man died.

The case is being investigating as a suspicious death.

Firefighters had responded to the apartment complex to a report of a car fire and discovered the body in the passenger seat after extinguishing the flames.

Police Sgt. Tim Riha says Hanks did not live at the apartment complex.

It's still unclear whether Hanks died in the fire or if he was dead before the car went up in flames.
