Woman hospitalized with burn injuries after house fire

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a woman is hospitalized with multiple burns and smoke inhalation after a house fire in Columbus.

Columbus Fire Marshal Ricky Shores says the woman was taken to Midtown Medical Center after the Thursday fire. Her name wasn't released.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports (http://bit.ly/1DS0Mjm) that flames gutted the inside of the brick home on Courtland Avenue after the fire ignited.

Fire officials said late Thursday they had had not yet determined a cause of the blaze.
