Grain futures were lower Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for May delivery declined 5 cents at $5.46 a bushel; May corn lost 5.80 cents at $3.2840 a bushel; May oats was off 1.80 cents at $2.7320 a bushel; while May soybeans fell 2.80 cents at 8.5360 a bushel.

You’d think a pandemic that forces virtually everyone to stay home would be a major boon for online grocery services. However, that hasn’t been so. Instead many online services are finding it tough to keep up with demand. One reason is a lack of workers to handle the surge in orders. Another is that online food delivery sites often use the same retail outlets the rest of us do.
