SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Traffic on a 2-mile (3-kilometer) segment of Interstate 15 in Lehi will be rerouted overnight Wednesday and Thursday nights for bridge construction that's part of a freeway widening project.

The Utah Department of Transportation says southbound I-15 will be closed Wednesday night between 2100 North and Lehi Main Street and that northbound I-15 will be closed Thursday night in the same area.

The closures are scheduled to run from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and UDOT says traffic will be detoured off I-15 and detoured around the closure area on local streets during those periods.

UDOT advises drivers to consider using alternate routes or changing their schedules.

Lehi is south of Salt Lake City and north of Provo.
