BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A bill that would ban doctors from prescribing abortion-inducing medication through telemedicine has passed in the Idaho House on a party-line vote. Supporters of the bill argued that the legislation will better protect women's health. House Democrats countered that the bill inappropriately allowed the Idaho Legislature to regulate medicine rather than physicians. The measure now heads to the Senate for approval.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho Senate committee advanced to the full Senate a bill that will give the public access to oil and natural gas production records and that more closely follows national standards. The Senate Resources and Environment Committee unanimously approved the plan to make the records public six months after the state receives the first report. Currently, such records are not viewable by the public in Idaho.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Senate panel is introducing a plan to improve Idaho's relationship with federal agencies that manage the state's public lands. The proposal comes one month after a study committee recommended collaborating with the federal government instead of demanding a takeover of the lands. The end goal is to transfer federal lands to Idaho's control.

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in eastern Idaho are investigating a house explosion that injured a woman. The South Fremont Fire Chief says neighbors helped the woman out of the house in St. Anthony following the explosion Sunday. KIDK-TV reports that the woman was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital.
