SALT LAKE CITY — An Amber Alert was sent Wednesday night about 10:40 p.m. for a 3-week-old infant girl missing from Clinton who police say is likely being taken to Modesto, California.
The baby is Audrey Westfall, who has brown hair and blue eyes. She is in a black-and-grey baby carrier with a pink-and-green quilted blanket, the alert said.
Police are searching for the child's mother, Taylor Cheylene Webb, 25, who is white, weighs 130 pounds and is 5 feet, 5 inches tall. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt with a gray zip-up jacket and black yoga pants with black-and-white Avia shoes.
Webb has long dark hair, possibly being worn in a bun, and she wears glasses. The alert said she has a tattoo on her right collarbone that reads “exhale the negative” and another on her left collarbone that says “inhale the positive.”
The child was taken before 5:12 p.m., Clinton Police Sgt. Dick Murdock said.
Webb took the infant from the home of the maternal grandmother, who has court-ordered guardianship, Murdock said.
Police believe Webb is heading to Modesto, California. Authorities don’t know how Webb is traveling there.
