PROVO — Power was restored Tuesday afternoon after multiple power lines went down Monday near Grandview Park in Provo, leaving about 250 customers in the area without power, officials said.
A construction crew was asphalting 1700 North when a dump truck drove with its bed up and knocked down a communications line, which then took about eight power lines down with it, said Scott Bunker, assistant director with Provo Power.
Crews worked overnight to fix the damage and restore power, and some roads in the area were closed while crews worked, Bunker said. The power was restored about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, over 24 hours after the incident.

No evacuation was ordered, Provo Power officials said. For tips on food and water safety during power outages, officials suggested affected residents visit the FDA website.
Provo police are investigating the incident but said, at this point, they don’t suspect anything suspicious happened.
No injuries were reported.
