SALT LAKE CITY — All five lanes on part of I-15 were closed following a crash on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred just before the Bangerter exit on southbound I-15 about 6:55 p.m. A 37-year-old man drove his Dodge Ram across all left lanes and hit the left side concrete barrier, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The vehicle veered back to the right and hit a Nissan Sentra.
The two passengers in the Nissan Sentra were not injured. The driver of the Dodge Ram was transported in the hospital in critical condition.
Interstate 15 was closed at 12300 South for 15 minutes while troopers diagrammed the scene. The freeway has since been opened.
