SNOWVILLE, Box Elder County — One person suffered critical injuries after a rollover crash on I-84 Tuesday morning, authorities said.

About 6:50 a.m., the car rolled off the roadway on I-84 about 2 miles east of Snowville in northwest Box Elder County, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The 2003 Honda Civic was westbound and appears to have drifted off the right side of the road, according to the release. The driver overcorrected while trying to gain control of the car, and the vehicle rolled twice, UHP said.

The car came to rest upside down, according to the release. The driver was wearing a seat belt and had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to UHP.

No further details about the crash were immediately released.
