OGDEN — Court services at the 2nd District Courthouse in Ogden resumed Tuesday afternoon after the building was evacuated due to a bomb threat, officials said.

Ogden police were at the scene of the courthouse at 2525 Grant Ave. about 1:35 p.m., Utah state courts spokesman Geoffrey Fattah said in a tweet. The building was evacuated as a precaution, Ogden police said in a tweet.

Police dogs were sweeping the building Tuesday afternoon, Fattah said. Police were asking people to keep clear of the area while crews searched the building.

Fattah said police gave the all-clear shortly before 3 p.m. and announced that court services would resume at the building.

Details about what the exact threat was weren't immediately released.

However, the Ogden courthouse is no stranger to bomb threats. Last April, three different bomb threats were called in to the building. All three were found to be unsubstantiated.
