LEHI — A Skyridge High School student was hospitalized Monday after being hit by a bus in front of the school.
The student, whose age was not immediately known, ran across the bus lane area about 7:30 a.m. in front of the school instead of using the sidewalk when he was hit, said Alpine School District spokesman David Stephenson.
It was not known how fast the bus was moving at the time, but Stephenson said it would have been very slow in that area.
The boy suffered a leg or ankle injury and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to be evaluated, he said. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, Stephenson said.
