SALT LAKE CITY — Two women at different massage parlors were arrested and booked into jail last week after police accused them of offering sexual acts to undercover officers.
Shufang Yu, 44, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of offering/agreeing to commit a sexual act for a fee or equivalent and assault on a peace officer, according to a jail report filed by Salt Lake police. She was arrested at Soothing Spa, located at 1169 S. State St., Salt Lake police detective Greg Wilking said.
Police then arrested Fiona Zhao, 51, on Friday on suspicion of offering/agreeing to commit a sexual act for a fee or equivalent and not having a proper license required for a massage practice, according to a jail report. Wilking said Zhao was arrested at a business located at 1476 S. State St.
While Wilking said they were separate incidents, both women agreed to provide an undercover officer with a massage and agreed to “a sex act for hire,” the jail reports said.
One jail report stated that Yu didn’t have a massage therapy license and also kicked a Salt Lake police detective in the shin when the officer approached her. The other report stated Zhao admitted to not having a valid massage license in Utah.
Neither Yu or Zhao had criminal histories in Utah prior to their arrests, according to court records.
