ST. GEORGE — A 3-year-old boy who went missing in St. George Wednesday night has been found safe, police said.

Brandon Stratton went missing from his home in the 400 South block of Main Street in St. George, according to St. George police Capt. Mike Giles. The boy had been last seen just after midnight, Giles said. He was reported missing about 11 a.m. Thursday, Giles added.

Just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police updated the Facebook post to say Brandon had been located and was safe. Further information was not immediately given.

Giles said earlier on Thursday that the situation was abnormal for a missing person or child case.

"It’s not confirmed we have an abduction," he said. "This is a suspicious circumstance, this is not normal, we would not expect the circumstances we’re aware of in our typical missing children."

Police reached out to the National Centers for Missing and Exploited Children and Team Adam, both of which responded with resources to help out in the search, Giles said.
