PARLEYS CANYON — Two days after a man crashed an allegedly stolen car, officials identified the driver and man who was killed.
Utah Highway Patrol identified Marc Curtis, 48, of West Valley City, as the driver of a Nissan sedan that crashed off of I-80 near the mouth of Parleys Canyon Sunday.
Curtis was traveling westbound on I-80 when he drove the car off the freeway, striking an unoccupied pickup truck near the mouth of the canyon, Utah Highway Patrol reported. Monday, officials said the car was stolen.
Curtis was not wearing a seat belt at the time, and was killed in the crash. No other individuals were involved.
UHP reported Curtis may have been intoxicated.
