EDEN — A woman was transported by Life Flight to the hospital after an ATV accident on Saturday.

Police received a call around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday about an accident just south of Nordic Valley (formerly Wolf Mountain Resort), according to Sgt. Dave Creager of the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.

A husband and wife from Eden were riding an ATV on a steep trail on the boundary of the ski resort when the machine rolled backwards, Creager said. The incline and the position of the passengers on the ATV were factors in the incident.

The husband, who was driving, and the ATV landed on the wife, who sustained head, back and rib injuries as a result, according to Creager.

The woman was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital where she was treated for her injuries, Creager said.

The couple was on a vehicle designed for one rider, Creager said, and neither of them were wearing helmets at the time of the incident.
