Man reaches through window, burglarizes Taco Bell

LAYTON — Police are searching for a man after surveillance video showed him burglarizing a Taco Bell through the drive-thru window.

The burglary occurred at the Taco Bell at 1180 E. Highway 193 on June 25 around 11 p.m., according to Layton police. Surveillance video showed a man reaching through the drive-thru window and grabbing money from the cash register inside.

An employee was present at the time of the burglary, but no one was injured during the incident, police said.

Police described the burglar as a Hispanic male between 28 and 35 years old and around 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a cross with cursive lettering on his right hand. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck. The man was wearing a black thermal shirt and black beanie at the time of the robbery.
