LINDON — Police are searching for two men who robbed a bank in Lindon, attacking employees with pepper spray and stun guns.
The AM Bank at 144 South State Street in Lindon was robbed just after noon Friday. In the course of the robbery, the men threatened and injured employees.
One male employee suffered non-life threatening injuries after being pepper sprayed in the face, Lindon Chief of Police Cody Cullimore said. The same employee was also hit several times with a "stun-gun type device."
Other employees had firearms held to their heads as the robbers demanded they comply, Cullimore said.
The robbers were described as white or light-skinned Hispanic males in their 30s dressed in business suits — one light, one dark. Both were wearing heavy boots, black wigs and false beards.
The robbers were seen fleeing on foot to the west and south. A possible suspect vehicle may be dark or maroon sedan or small SUV, Cullimore said.
The amount of money taken is not being released at this time, and the bank remains closed as the investigation continues. Victim counselors are working with employees.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
