OGDEN — A police chase from Parleys Canyon to Ogden ended with two men being taken into custody Monday, police said.

The chase started when officers pursued two suspects in a vehicle down Parleys Canyon, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Investigators said the chase continued from I-80 onto I-15 North.

The vehicle was pursued by officers until reaching Weber County, at which point UHP said the officers pulled back and a helicopter from the Department of Public Services took over following it from the air.

Officers unsuccessfully tried to spike the tires of the car twice before taking out a left tire on the vehicle on 12th Street in Ogden, according to UHP. The men continued driving west before pulling over at 3600 W. Pioneer Road and running on foot, investigators said.

The two men were were taken into custody, according to UHP. They said no shots were fired and no Tasers were deployed.
