SALT LAKE CITY — A 17-year-old girl who went missing Monday was found safe Wednesday morning.
Baylee Fausett, of Kearns, was last seen Monday afternoon near The Road Home homeless shelter, 200 S. Rio Grande Street.
She was located shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday when she asked Utah Transit Authority bus driver in Salt Lake City for help getting home. She was uninjured, police said.
Police originally reported Fausett as a runaway but upgraded the case to a missing endangered investigation Tuesday.
The teen has the mindset of a 12-year-old child and is legally blind. Social media activity showed that she had been corresponding with a man from Colorado and may have been trying to get money to travel and visit him, Unified Police Lt. Ken Hansen said.
