MILLCREEK — Detectives at the Unified Police Department are looking for two men in connection with a home-invasion robbery that left a Millcreek man stunned and short of money and prescription drugs.

Levon Khachaturian lives in an apartment complex near 3300 South and 1700 East. He said it's usually the neighbors or missionaries who knock at his door, so he did not expect what he got when he answered a knock Tuesday morning.

"Even before I knew who they were, boom!" Khachaturian said. "Soon as I opened the door, they pushed me in."

One of the men pressed a gun against him and demanded the money out of his wallet, Khachaturian said. Then the men went for the prescription drugs on the counter.

"They made me open the case and dump it into his pocket," Khachaturian said. "They took two minutes here - no more than two minutes - and then they left."

Khachaturian said he believed the duo had attempted a home robbery before, based on how smoothly they conducted his.

"They scared me to death - that's for sure," he said.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal described the crime as "random," and said nobody else at the apartment complex had a knock at the door.

Only one other resident was home at the time, Hoyal said.

"There have not been any other similar cases like this in this in this area," Hoyal said. "But as the investigation is ongoing, our detectives will look and see if there's anything similar."

The suspect descriptions Khachaturian offered were vague. One suspect, he said, appeared to be about 25 years old and was wearing a black hoodie — he was the one carrying the gun.

Another man, Khachaturian said, was 19 to 20 years old and was wearing a navy hoodie.

Neighbors were alarmed upon learning of the robbery.

"I've got a daughter and two beautiful little grandbaby boys, so it kind of makes me feel unsafe knowing they're here," said Kathy Bagley. "I will never open a door to anybody again as long as I live - even if it's a cop, I won't open the door."
