WEST VALLEY CITY — West Valley Police are searching for a gunman after two people were wounded Wednesday afternoon.

The drive-by shooting happened near 3827 Dean Drive in West Valley City, according to the Valley Emergency Communications Center.

Police said a green compact car passed by two men walking on Christopherson Drive (4880 South) just after 4 p.m. when the car's occupants opened fire.

The two victims, a 26-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, were taken to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.

Witnesses said one man was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the neck.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be posted as it becomes available.
