OGDEN, Utah (AP) - A man recently extradited from Alaska is headed to court for the 20-year-old murder of a woman who was attacked at an Ogden retirement home.
Court records show that 40-year-old Stephen P. Ellenwood will appear by video at 8:30 a.m. Friday at 2nd District Court.
Ellenwood is held at Weber County jail on a charge of aggravated murder in the beating death of 92-year-old Grace Mae Odle.
He was arrested May 8 in Haines, Alaska, on a Utah warrant.
Authorities say DNA evidence matches Ellenwood to the sexual assault and beating of Odle at a retirement home. She died six days later at a hospital.
Ogden police say the attacker climbed through an unlocked window early on May 3, 1993.
