ST. GEORGE — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a woman on U.S. Interstate 15 near Leeds.
The patrol says the woman apparently lost control of her 2003 Jeep Liberty and rolled off the southbound interstate lanes about 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say heavy rain may have played a role in the accident. The woman was the lone occupant of the Jeep. The patrol says she did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt. Her name has not been released.
