MARIETTA, Georgia — Norman the 3-year-old French sheepdog has a passion for the scooter.
"It's still mind boggling. He look like a little man in a dog outfit," said his owner.
Normans fans signed in and sat down at the All-tournament players park in Marietta, Georgia to watch his attempt at a world record. To qualify, he needed to travel 98 feet in 30 seconds.
The crowd was asked to remain silent during the attempt, but broke out into applause when he succeeded in the feat. He didn't even need all 30 seconds: He did it in 21.
Norman has become a world record holder.
Norman is no stranger to Utah. He visited the KSL studios in November of 2011 and sshowed of his skills, even replacing Scott Haws as co-anchor for a short time.
For the dog with a human talent, the celebration after success was some treats and some jumping around.
It may be silly, but it is inspiring. Norman is officially the fastest scooter-riding dog in the world.
