SOUTH JORDAN — How do you eat your cupcake? How would you eat a year's worth of cupcakes?

One Sweet Slice bakery is offering up cupcakes for a year to the winner of their competition YouTube. The contest asked people across the Salt Lake Valley to upload videos of how they eat their cupcakes — inspired by the "There's No Wrong Way to Eat a Reese's" commercials from the 1990s.

Entries range from contestants simply eating a cupcake, to comedic situations like a mother sneaking a treat or siblings fighting tooth and nail for a sweet. Some even offer advice: like how to eat one like a gentleman, or what to do if you're a toddler who wants a little cake.

"We just wanted to do something really fun to thank our customers for coming in and getting cupcakes from us," said bakery owner Janell Brown. "This is a way we could show them some appreciation and give that back, and have some fun with it between our two stores."

The entries will be judged on likes, views, and comments on the on YouTube page. The entry with the most interactions will win cupcakes for one year from One Sweet Slice.

The winner will receive a dozen cupcakes each month for the next year. Employees will also have the chance to vote on their favorite video. The employee pick winner will receive two dozen cupcakes.

The contest closes Wednesday, May 1. Brown said the bakery will be holding another competition soon.

One Sweet Slice is one of several Utah bakeries to win "Cupcake Wars" in the last year.

Provo's Sweet Tooth Fairy won the TV game show in April 2012, followed by One Sweet Slice in September. Pleasant Groves' Cravings Cupcakes won its second attempt on the show this last March.
