FARMINGTON — Dramatic video has been released showing a Morgan County Sheriff's deputy shooting a woman in the face after a high speed chase. The injured woman survived the shooting and made her first appearance in court Monday morning.
Kristine Biggs pleaded not guilty to seven charges, including two aggravated assault felonies. The charges are related to the chase that ended with her being shot in the face.
Biggs appeared in court with a patch covering her wounded eye.
Her attorney declined to comment about the case other than to confirm that a plea deal is in the works with the County Attorney's office; a deal that could still possibly include felony charges, but perhaps a different penalty.
The video was released by the County Attorney's office after given permission from South Ogden Police Department, who assisted in the chase. It shows Biggs refusing to pull over on Nov. 24, for what was originally a broken headlight.
She leads law enforcement on a chase through three counties, and at one point, three of her tires were spiked, driving on rims for some time before finally turning onto Cottonwood Drive in South Weber.
Once on that road, she bumps into one Morgan County deputy's vehicle at a very low speed, and he then shoots her in the face after she hits another.

Investigators say she had been drinking.
Biggs was wanted in Colorado on a NCIC warrant for a wildlife violation, but deputies didn't know it at the time.
KSL has also received another dash cam video from the Davis County Attorney's Office. It shows a close up of the shooting from one of the Morgan County vehicles directly involved.
The County Attorney's Office says they are still investigating and analyzing the video to see if the deputy was justified in shooting Biggs. They will be reviewing the case this week.
In the meantime, the deputy who fired the shot is still on administrative leave.
