SALT LAKE CITY — "It's a Jeep Thing...You wouldn't understand." Probably the seven most annoying words you'll read on a clean Jeep out getting groceries.
So let's try to understand this "thing" with a Grand Cherokee Limited and a Wrangler Rubicon we bummed from Chrysler for a week.
First, these aren't old Army Vehicles. They're equipped with new features to keep the driver and passengers comfortable and entertained.
In city driving, which is where most Jeeps spend most of their lives, and poser Jeeps spend all of it, their tight turning circles come in handy when parking. Gas mileage is lousy, not horrible.
So we understand the Jeep thing, even for the posers, is that confidence of knowing your vehicle can do something the others can't. Even if they never wanted to.
