Rangers recall Marek Hrivik from minors

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Rangers have recalled Marek Hrivik from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

Hrivik, 25, has skated in 20 games with the Wolf Pack this season, with eight goals and nine assists. He leads Hartford in points and short-handed goals (two) and is tied for the team lead in goals and assists.

Hrivik skated in five games with the Rangers last season, getting one assist and a plus-3 rating. He made his NHL debut on Feb. 21, 2016, against Detroit, and he earned his first career NHL point on Feb. 23, 2016, at New Jersey.

He was signed by the Rangers as an undrafted free agent on May 30, 2012.
