The real border wall holes are in Trump's arguments

Originally aired: Tuesday, March 13, 2018

President Donald Trump has spent the day out in Southern California inspecting prototypes for his border wall. He pointed out that this wall is important because illegal immigrants are cutting holes in our current fences. He also made the claim that we "wouldn't have a country" without a wall. He also claimed that California is begging him to build the wall in certain areas because people are pouring in. Mr. President, you're wrong. People are not pouring in and border crossings from Mexico are down. Illegal immigration won't be solved by a 'big, beautiful wall.' In other news, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was fired via a tweet from President Trump. Tillerson later said he received a phone call from the president, but the timing of the call appears to be after the tweet. There is also a new verb going around the internet. Now, when someone breaks up with you over social media, you've been Tillersoned. Mike Pompeo is Trump's pick to replace him. This pick makes sense for the President because Pompeo views the world similarly to Trump. Both are hardliners. This comes on the heels of the President of the United States agreeing to meet with Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea. With these historic talks just around the corner, how will the Secretary of State handle things?
