Russian hacking 2018: “Frankly the U.S. is under attack”

Originally aired: Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Russia has already targeted our elections and, unsurprisingly, is looking to do it again in 2018. They are using our political partisan differences to divide us even further. Maybe if we were more responsible with what we share on social media and what information we put stock in, Russia would have a much harder time accomplishing their goals.   How did we get here? United States national security officials said they have "no doubt" Russians will try to pursue even more aggressive cyber attacks to "weaken our alliances" and "disrupt our democracy" during the upcoming 2018 presidential elections. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said Russians weren't the only ones who will probably try to attack America's democracy. "Persistent and disruptive cyber operations will continue against the United States and our European allies using elections as opportunities to undermine democracy," he said. If you remember, there is substantial evidence to conclude that Russia hacking and propaganda changed the outcome of the 2016 presidential election in favor of President Donald Trump.   The JayMac News Show is hosted by KSL News Radio's Jay McFarland, who also hosts the fictional podcast, Hosts of Eden.
