Why Free Slurpee Day is Overrated (So are Slurpees)

Originally aired: Tuesday, July 11, 2017

Oh thank heaven for July 11th. That means it's Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard are disgusted by the free grab of Slurpees all day as sticky kids and hoarding Moms everywhere across our country pretend that something free is more important than getting anything done.   So, how can you enjoy your freebie? All you have to do is walk into any 7-Eleven in the country and ask for your small Slurpee cup between 11am and 7pm ET. There's no purchase or coupon necessary. It's also while supplies last.   And an awesome zenheadlines story involving Coldplay.  Lead singer Chris Martin was so in awe of a fan gliding toward him over the crowd in a wheelchair that he invited the man on stage to help the band sing a song. 29-year-old Rob was passed aloft and along by audience members at the Croke Park, Dublin gig, being spotted by Martin as he neared the stage. The frontman introduced him to the crowd, with Rob whipping out a harmonica and playing a traditional song with help from Coldplay.
