SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake County Health Department released a list of restaurants this week which details eateries allowing dogs on their patios.

In order to make the cut, the restaurants are required to have a safety plan, pay an application fee and agree to Health Department rules, according to a Salt Lake County Health Department press release. Businesses need to have an outdoor entrance so dogs never enter the interior of the restaurant, they have to have certain signage and the dogs are required to be on leashes.

Local dog owner Lydia Monkmeyer is ecstatic about the list, as she will be able to bring her dog with her on more day-to-day excursions.

“It’s super helpful to me since I prefer to be with her whenever I’m not working, but usually that isn’t possible,” Monkmeyer said.

The list of restaurants includes:

Brewhouse Pub, 1722 South Fremont Drive.

Prohibition, 151 East 6100 South.

The Point After, 5445 South 900 East.

Campfire Lounge, 837 East 2100 South.

Squatters, 147 West Broadway.

Proper Burger Company, 865 South Main Street.

Caputo’s, 1516 South 1500 East.

Fisher Brewing Company, 320 West 800 South.

Flatbread, 1044 East 2100 South.

Stratford Proper, 1588 East Stratford Avenue.

One O Eight, 1709 East 1300 South.

Garage Grill, 1122 East Draper Parkway.

Taqueria 27:

  • 149 East 200 South.

  • 1615 South Foothill Drive.

  • 4670 South Holladay Boulevard.

  • 6154 South State Street.

Log Haven, 6451 East Millcreek Canyon Road.

TF Brewing, 936 South 300 West.

Zest, 275 South 200 West.

Thistle & Thyme, 480 South Wakara Way.

Park Cafe, 604 East 1300 South.

Pig and a Jelly Jar:

  • 401 East 900 South.

  • 1968 East Murray-Holladay Road.

The department clarified that the restaurants will allow dogs but no other animals, and service dogs will not be impacted. Additionally, though only 22 restaurants have made the cut so far, the department said they expect more eateries to join the list throughout the summer.
