WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. officials say the FBI is investigating possible child sexual abuse at Fort Meade in Maryland involving a former civilian worker there.
Two officials confirmed the investigation, which involves alleged sexual abuse at the Fort Meade Youth Center. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about an ongoing investigation.
Officials say Fort Meade became aware of the alleged incident and notified law enforcement. They say the worker is no longer at the base.
Richard Wolf, a spokesman for the Baltimore office of the FBI, declined to comment when asked about the matter.
