LAS VEGAS (AP) — The entertainer Flavor Flav is due to face a Las Vegas judge on misdemeanor driving under the influence, speeding and marijuana possession charges stemming from a vehicle stop last May.

Defense attorney Kristina Wildeveld says she hopes to resolve the case Monday without a trial for the 56-year-old rapper and reality television star.

His real name is William Drayton Jr.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee was clocked going 87 mph in a 65-mph zone.

He was fined a little over $3,600 after pleading guilty in October in Nassau County, New York, to one count of unlicensed aggravated operation of a motor vehicle.

That case stemmed from another arrest in January 2014 while he raced to his mother's funeral on Long Island.
