NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City couple arrested on low-level cocaine possession charges amid the investigation into Philip Seymour Hoffman's death has been released.
Juliana Luchkiw (LUHCH'-kyoo) was released Thursday without bail, Max Rosenblum on $35,000 bond. The 22-year-olds are due back in court later this month.
They'd briefly been held without bail. Their lawyers say they had nothing to do with Hoffman's death Sunday in a suspected heroin overdose.
Their apartment is one of two police searched Tuesday in a Manhattan building. A resident of the other apartment has been charged with possessing heroin with the intent to sell.
Two law enforcement officials say a tipster said he believed Hoffman got heroin at the building. The officials weren't authorized to discuss evidence in the investigation and spoke on the condition of anonymity.
