As the temperatures outside heat up, so do our electric bills, and our energy consumption.
We're talking with Paul Murphy from Rocky Mountain Power, and Bill Grant who won the Grand Prize in the Act Wattsmart Video Contest.
Great ways to save energy this summer is to • Set thermostat to 78° when home; 85° when away • Power down large appliances between 2-8 p.m. • Use evaporative coolers; great for Utah's dry hot summers • Get more tips at www.wattsmart.com
Bill's submission is called "As the Meter Turns". It won type prize and earned he and his wife $10,000 in energy efficient appliance upgrades.
