THE STREET — When I was in high school, I had a friend who liked to dabble with skateboarding.

Warren G, as we called him, wasn't great. But he could do a kickflip, and I thought that was the coolest thing any of our friends did. I couldn't even make it down Warren G's slightly sloped driveway on a skateboard, and he was doing kickflips! Granted, he couldn't do anything else on that board, but that didn't matter to me.

I wanted to learn, but my body and my mind refused to ever get on the same page and my street cred never rose to the level of Warren G — my friend or the rap star.

With that background, can you imagine how floored I was by this video?

Warning: This video will likely blow your mind and melt your face with extreme awesomeness. Please proceed with caution.

This is Isamu Yamamato and he is a champion freestyle skateboarder from Japan. This video is part of the World Freestyle Round-Up 2020 Online Showdown, and it's one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. Keep in mind, I once saw a kid accidentally hit a bird in the sky with his shoe. So, yeah. This is impressive.

I can't even wrap my head around what Yamamato is doing half the time, and then he ups the ante by doing it with two skateboards at once. I guess that's why he became the world freestyle skateboarding champion at 14 years old.

Watch the video and have your mind blown, then watch it again with the same results. In the meantime, I'm going to see if I can find Warren G and finally learn that kickflip.
